My character is at a point where she is now going to be able to participate in the upcoming dance expo in imperial Ar so I thought it would be entertaining to submit a few looks for my readers approval. I have yet to come up with a dance theme although I do have a few idea’s floating in my head so any suggestions on that and music is also welcome. I’d love to hear from others because I know I am not all that creative, lol.

About the look; This is the Mirage Dancer outfit from BareRose. It is a mesh outfit so it moves with the character’s body and also has a bra and panties option that I did not include in the outfit above.

Pros: It is mesh, it moves with the body and is very detailed.

Con: It is mesh and not everyone will be able to see it, also I have had to modify my shape a considerable amount to fit into it correctly.  Also, being mesh I am unable to darken the color so while the item’s description lists it as red it is more of a pink color and not exactly the sultry look I was going for. With that as well if I wear longer hair it doesn’t look good because it detracts from the beautiful detailing on the outfit.

My overall opinion is that it is a beautiful outfit and would look lovely on most dancers. With that said it is also incredibly cheap as most of Barerose items are, and for the price you cannot beat it.  What do you think?

I wish that my character was in a situation where she had an opportunity to wear a lot of the silks that I have. I have a ton in my inventory that I never use or wear because it does not make sense for her! I will blog them soon and I hope you like the other one I made, until then though, I am running out of time…

While this is not what my character would wear (wait for the next post for that) should she dance, which she will not. This outfit from Roawenwood is still very classic and simple but elegantly made. I love love LOVE Roawenwood in a biased sort of way. This is a designer whom I watched grow and flourish over the years and I’ve taken a little bit of a special interest in watching to see how it does.

I normally do not edit my posts much other than to smooth some rough edges or to crop them because I believe (like so many other bloggers) that the image should be accurate and show the product, not our own improved version. Also! I am not very good at it, lol. However over the last few weeks, and probably about three months ago I was able to use Kristen’s Viewer with shadows enabled and have no issues walking around a SIM. To do it now is so stressful that I do not like taking pictures for the blog no matter how lovely they turn out (Also with Niran Viewer the glow is just terrible! – sorry, it is.)

Anyhow, I thought I would edit this, Gaussian out the background, dodge and burn some shadows, and fiddle around a bit. If I were working on this for anything other than the blog (for example to be paid) I would have taken more time with it, but it was all just sweet nice innocent fun!

The outfit featured is a dress from DeLa, the hair is Andre from Exile, and the jewelry is the Uva group gift from Miel. I have to say with this outfit the belt is scripted, my feet are scripted (not shown), and the necklace and earrings are scripted as well as wearing my AO, and I have no issues with the script count in Ar booting me or giving me a hassle. I am even still in the green!! It goes to show the difference in smart scripting and silly scripting. The Uva necklace is wonderfully scripted to have 6 different (I think it’s six – p.s. I love parentheses) color variations and the scripts are light enough to wear anywhere.

After stubbornly giving up on shadows for this week I am just going to finish up and post a lot of the lingering unblogged outfits in my inventory without shadows. I feel terrible doing such because it enhances the pictures and makes them beautiful but I realize in one way that sometimes you’re not all here for the pretty pictures.

    Tonight Urt the Unfinished became Lita, slave to a female of the Physicians Caste. I don’t think you can get a more surprising turn of events than what we all received tonight during the auction and it really went to prove that nothing was scripted within Ar. There is a lot of talk on the forums about auctions not succeeding, and perhaps they will always be a gamble, but it is that thrill that makes them worth doing.

    The interesting spin on this is whether or not Lita will become a Free Woman. There is the possibility there, even though she has pierced ears that she will be freed. It is much easier to gain the favor of a woman than it is to gain the favor of a man, and Urt was the type of character to exploit weaknesses when/if she wanted to. Either way I am happy to get her out of the tavern, she is a character that requires personal ownership and someone that will be stable for her, the best time I had playing her was in Syedra’s slave house where she was monitored either daily or every other day. It was saddening to see that storyline end, and perhaps it was a failed attempt all around to bring a character so established and so committed to one story and attempt to merge it with another one.

    Now being who I am out of character; my avatar has not been owned since 2006. She has been in Gor, and has been a slave, but she was always NPC owned by a nonexistent player. It’s unusual for me to say “it’s time for a personal owner” but that was where the character was, she thrived for the first month or so in the paga tavern but it eventually died down and she started to become empty inside. The change in scene is opening up a lot of venues, there is a chance she will be freed, there is an opportunity for her to learn more about medicine. She now has someone to beg and barter with, which means enhancing those aspects of play that was difficult to do on my own. For example, now she will have a reason to behave and better herself (again), she will be capable of receiving rewards and punishments for her behavior.  I am expecting to see a much more even mannered and softer side of the character.

     Most important to me though is with everything being unscripted (and of course you have your fantasy and with that fantasy of what you hope will happen there is always some disappointment when not fulfilled)  – with everything being unscripted the way it is and not preplanned I have a unique task ahead of me as a writer. I had wanted to make Urt a painter, and she did a portrait of Hilda that went unfinished, so much of the character’s moniker relates to the many aspects of her story that ended in people vanishing, with the name change and the “fresh start” of it all I think she will be able to move past her sadness and begin to paint again.

To begin this post has very little to do about fashions as my other two prior posts today have, and I have already made bored anyone who dared to previously read my blog. With that said I have no reason to have pretenses and with a nod in the direction of fellow blogger Adam Zadeh, I would like to begin.

I am struggling a lot recently with the concept of being fully immersed in an RP environment. Without a doubt I love the act of crafting and fleshing out my character, and with Urt I have had such a possitive result during the making process that I genuinely love the damnable animal-woman, even though I have a difficult time finding partners to RP with that are compatible with my time. I always catch myself getting to a point where I am engaged in a scene that would have previously made me (the typist) cry, and feel moved however in a full RP environment where these are all just characters I have no actual emotional bond to the other characters in the story, and my bond with my own character is suffering as well.

This concerns me because I want desperately to be moved by a scene, and I’ve settled into this numb comfort that I cannot get out of regardless of how intense the scene becomes. I’ve come to wonder if full immersion is the best way to roleplay? Obviously there are the benefits, but we rarely hear about the draw backs. I was wondering what most of you thought? Does this ever happen to you? I feel assured that is has nothing to do with the quality of roleplay that I am getting because it all is very nice and detailed play, but it is becoming a chore and I am feeling drained that I have not made a connection with anyone (Dom or sub). Where do you go from there? Here is to hoping that tomorrow’s auction succeeds in stirring the pot somewhat, I would certainly like to break out of this rut.

The Legio Draco, on orders of Marlenus, has stirred up trouble in the borderlands of the Realm of Ar as far as the Cartius River. In response to these uprisings, Ar responds by sending its veteran legions to secure and patrol the borders, leaving vacancy in Ar’s military and inciting recruitment into the newly formed Felix Legion – filled mostly with loyalists to Marlenus. As the armies of Ar march and the Felix Legion is born, the Legio Draco is already on its way back to Ar, leaving mercenaries, pirates and other chaotic groups to siphon and inflame the spark of rampage, smokescreening the Draconian’s tactical retreat back to the city.

Marlenus, now using the name of the Exile and donning a masked helmet, has made his appearance in the Stadium and already began to make a name for himself as an upstart rising star. The Exile is whispered to be the newest incarnation of Hesius, himself, spilling bloodin the sands of the Stadium and fulfilling the required sacrifices for a prosperous harvest and rain season – or so say the Initiates who take advantage of the Exile’s growing fame.

Marcus has laid purchase to a house near the Central Cylinder where, under the very noses of the city’s current administration, houses secret meetings of the Exiles (fans of he who is secretly Marlenus). It is in this house that tactical orders are given in codes and cyphers, secret handshake and winking nods. To give Marcus a cover story and to shield the Exiles from the Administration’s suspicions, much in the way of avarice and flesh has been given to Marcus as spoils of war to sell and distribute on the Curulean Auction Block and rent out to the various businesses. This gives Marcus the impressionable identity as a generous warrior who is loyal to the ideal of Ar and its People with the intent of granting him favor with the common man.

Meanwhile as the Exile cuts through opposition in the Stadium, the Taurentians are silently subverted by Liam and his associates, Marcus spreads wealth and gains loyalty and the many Warriors of Marlenus are recruited into an official Legion, civilian loyalists slip into the common ranks of citizens. Schoolteachers, doctors, copiers, engineers… all become spies and agents of espionage and subterfuge, waiting loyally for orders to be given.

Background:
Raised in the diseased cocoon of her mother’s dotage, Giselle spent many hours within the household, being domesticated, disciplined, and instructed on her future. It was not her choice to decide her future, she was informed of such from birth, and beauty was a curse that she, poor, and unfortunate was destined. Her mother scorned her for her beauty, not out of envy, but so that the woman would properly conceal herself. She grew to accept that she was hideously formed, and from a young age she’d determined that the best way to find a man who would companion her was to be as timid and accepting as possible; that did not go well with her peers, or her parents. Any man willing to companion her had the unfortunate disadvantage of having to present her to civilized society, though surely, he would be seen as kind and generous for taking in such a malformed creature, and not expected to love her or care for her. He’d already committed his kindness by providing for her, and that was more than any could ask.

She’d coveted her veils, and perfumes. There was such comfort in those small vanities, and upon occasion; unrobed -in the safety of her own chamber- she was able to stare at herself in the mirror for lengths of time, dissecting herself in lines and graphs until she had logically and mathematically absorbed all of herself in this systematic approach of weighing her own worth. Presumably her companion grew weary of her taxing personality, for reasons she still is not aware, she was sent on a voyage to collect a shipment on behalf of her husband, and arrived in a far away village in Torvaldsland.

Current Storyline:
She exists now only if she stands still and the wind does not blow; she exists like the morning fog. Enslaved in the village in Torvaldsland under penalty for misconduct, she was eventually freed only to be commissioned for capture. Who had commissioned such a thing she was never told, only that she should be grateful, that she was a marvelous woman, very beautiful, very expressive, and worth a good sum if properly trained. Giselle became Gigi, embodying her slavery, relishing it. It was as if she was born fresh, no longer afraid of her own body, she was taught how to embrace it, to live in the moment, and she did. She lived in each second existing only for it, and selfishly whatever she could feel. She grew addicted to her own capacity for emotions, and marveled at what the men could inspire in her. Just to feel –and she was so desperate for that- was a gift she’d secretly yearned for, only realizing it once it was upon her.
Tragedy struck shortly after the woman had blossomed, and frightened for her life, frightened for her very soul, the highly religious free woman emerged within the slave again, certain once more that her beauty was indeed a curse, and that she had brought that curse upon those she’d cared for. She was transported as part of a lottery of a select few individuals, and saved while others perished, only to live now with the over whelming grief, and near constant macabre sense of dread, she is convinced that only the terrible can come her way, and had taken to embracing the oddest of things because it is the only way she feels she has control. She has a sense about her that she is unfinished, her destiny having unraveled before her, everything now remains undecided.

Weakness: Quick to become emotional, inability to control her emotions.
Strengths: Empathic, sensory stimulated.

The lovely dress shown here is the Mesh Tunic from Jane. It works lovely for a gorean slave outfit that is modest, understated but also well designed and beautiful. I have created several outfits recently so please expect something more from me soon. The necklace is from TFG, and hair is from Lelutka (Oscar in almost goth).

She is about to come. This time,
they are sitting up, joined below the belly,
feet cupped like sleek hands praying
at the base of each other’s spines.
And when something lifts within her
toward  a light she’s sure, once again,
she can’t bear, she opens her eyes
and sees his face is turned away,
one arm behind him, hand splayed
palm down on the mattress, to brace himself
so he can lever his hips, touch
with the bright tip the innermost spot.
And she finds she can’t bear it–
not his beautiful neck, stretched and corded,
not his hair fallen to one side like beach grass,
not the curved wing of his ear, washed thin
with daylight, deep pink of the inner body–
What she can’t bear is that she can’t see his face,
not that she thinks this exactly – she is rocking, and
breathing- it’s more her body’s thought, opening, as it is,
into its own sheer truth.
So that when her hand lifts of its own volition
and slaps him, twice on the chest,
on the pad of muscled flesh just above the nipple,
slaps him twice, fast, like a nursing child
trying to get a mother’s attention,
she’s startled by the sound,
though when he turns his face to hers-
which is what her body wants, his eyes
pulled open, as if she had bitten-
she does reach out, and bite him, on the shoulder,
not hard, but with the power infants have
over those who have borne them, tied as they are
to the body, and so, tied to the pleasure,
the exquisite pain of this world.
And when she lifts her face he see’s where she’s gone,
knows she can’t speak, is traveling toward something essential,
toward the core of her need, so he simply watches, steadily,
with an animal calm
as she arches and screams, watches the face that, if she could see it,
she would never let him see.
